CoTerra Impact was established in early 2018 to be a catalyst for change in how we think about business and investments. It consists of two core elements:
1) Act as a framework for conceptualising new ideas within the evolving world of responsible investment, working towards a future where the industry standard is to explicitly consider impact alongside risk and return.
2) Provide consulting services to companies, corporate pension schemes, endowments, charities, and individuals with a focus on impact investing and the broader theme of responsible investment.
Founder – Vincent McCarthy, CFA
Vincent has over 16 years of experience advising high net worth individuals and institutions, working with companies such as Merrill Lynch in the United States and Davy, IFG and Invesco in Ireland. He holds a business degree from the University of Limerick (1.1. Honours), a Masters in Finance from Fairfield University, Connecticut, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
In search of a new challenge he left his role as Head of Investment Consulting in Dublin, Ireland, in 2017, embarking on an adventure through Latin America, learning Spanish, and working in impact investment in Guatemala, the spark for thinking more seriously about the impact of all investments.
Inspired by his enlightening experience and motivated by the inertia within the traditional investment world around responsible investing, Vincent established CoTerra Impact to be a catalyst for change in how we think about business and investments. It has already led to the development of a number of new ventures – ESG Ireland® and Responsible Investment Institute™ – with more in the pipeline.
